North Laguna is the entrance to Laguna Beach and one of the more private areas in the city. Featuring some of the largest and most expensive homes in Laguna Beach, North Laguna offers a serene living experience with a variety of outdoor activities.

Real Estate

Situated north of the main Village area is North Laguna, one of the more private areas in the city and a haven of secluded beach coves, beautiful parks, and a variety of homes and condos. North Laguna contains some of the largest and most expensive homes in Laguna Beach but still offers an assortment of condos, starter homes, and custom real estate that will not force you to break the bank.

North Laguna Homes

Single family homes make up the majority of real estate in North Laguna, and while there are a few builder tracts, most of the homes are custom. Due to the private location and proximity to some of the best and most secluded Laguna beaches, North Laguna homes start in the mid-$1 million range and go up into the tens of millions, making this one of the most expensive places in the city to settle. However, you will have a difficult time finding any two homes that look alike due to the various architectural styles employed throughout the area, and the peaceful atmosphere coupled with fantastic area amenities make the investment more than worth it.

North Laguna Condos

There are a few condo options in the North Laguna neighborhood, but only a couple are contained in larger complexes. The majority of condos in this area are found in duplex and triplex setups, so be prepared to know your neighbors. It is possible to find a condo under $1 million, but chances are it will have no more than 2 bedrooms and around 1,000 square feet of living space.

Area Amenities

Heisler Park The majority of real estate in North Laguna is located just a few minutes from the main Downtown area, so one of the best aspects of living in this neighborhood is that you are close to the best Laguna Beach amenities yet can still enjoy a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds. North Laguna is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets that are located close to Laguna Canyon Road; you will recognize them by street names such as Jasmine and Cypress. As you get closer to the Village, numerous cafes, restaurants and shops begin popping up, so it is not always necessary to go into the bustling Village to find something to eat or buy.

One of the best aspects of living in North Laguna is that you are close to the best Laguna Beach amenities yet can still enjoy a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds.

One of the best features of North Laguna are the small secluded beaches found at Crescent Bay and Emerald Bay – these beaches see few people during the day, so those who want to avoid the crowded Main Beach will be in heaven at these beaches. There are also numerous parks throughout North Laguna, including the ocean front Heisler Park that just put $7.5 million into an extensive upgrade, adding an amphitheater and beautiful whale sculpture. Access in and out of Laguna Beach is probably the easiest from North Laguna (outside of Laguna Canyon of course); you can avoid the Village traffic getting to Laguna Canyon Road, or you can make your way north along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway.
